What I’m Working On Right Now
The Great Rebuild is DONE. If you’ve been here before, you might notice this site looks… different. That’s because I spent this summer tearing it down to the studs and rebuilding every single page by hand. Seven content hubs. New homepage. New tools page. Every fake shortcut from my AI-content experiment era — deleted, redirected, or rebuilt with receipts. (Long story. It’s on the Mission page. It cost me a year and taught me everything.)
How I Build Now
My approach is simple: clarity over hype, structure over chaos, and long-term thinking over quick wins. I’d rather build systems that still make sense a year from now than chase whatever is trending this week.
- HTML for structural pages: hubs, “start here” pages, tools pages — the stuff I don’t want to constantly rework. Clean. Fast. Permanent.
- Editor for thinking pages: long posts, stories, and content that evolves as I learn. This is where the real writing lives.
- SEO as the foundation: clean structure, internal links, schema, and discoverability — then social accelerates everything.
- Build the page before the post: layout first, flow second, visuals third, then the words. No more writing into broken structure.
- One clean system > ten random tactics: fewer moving parts, less stress, more output. Consistency beats chaos.
The goal isn’t perfection — it’s a site that stays clean, stays consistent, and keeps moving forward.
Lessons I’ve Learned Building This
- Structure beats stress: when your page layout is consistent, everything else gets easier.
- Less index clutter: not everything should be indexed — focus on pages that serve a purpose.
- Progress compounds: one clean page turns into a clean site faster than you’d think.
- Trust is the real conversion tool: clean pages + clear intent + honest voice wins long-term.
