About Scott
Why This Site Exists
ScottNewkirk.com exists to help people build online without hype, pressure, or fake promises.
I focus on affiliate marketing, tools I actually use, and long-term thinking — not shortcuts, not gimmicks, and not “get rich quick” nonsense.
After being in this space for years, I’ve learned that sustainability matters — not just in business, but in life.
One of the moments that really drove that home for me was a trip to London. I went to see Taylor Swift on the ERAS Tour at Wembley Stadium — something I genuinely wanted to experience, not something I postponed “until later.”
That trip reinforced a simple idea: building something online should support your life instead of consuming it.
That same mindset shows up outside of work too — biking, walking, staying active, and building healthier habits that keep my head clear and my approach calm.
If you’re looking for something honest, sustainable, and built for the long game — you’re in the right place. If you’re chasing flashy tactics or overnight wins, this probably isn’t for you — and that’s okay.
Who I Am & How I Work
I’m Scott — an affiliate marketer and long-term builder who’s been in this space long enough to see trends come and go.
I didn’t get here overnight, and I’m not interested in pretending that’s how this works.
I focus on clarity over complexity, consistency over intensity, and trust over tactics.
I don’t chase every new strategy, and I don’t push tools or platforms I wouldn’t use myself.
Most of what I share comes from experience — learning what actually holds up over time and what quietly falls apart once the hype wears off.
I also share parts of my actual process on my Behind the Scenes page — what I’m working on, how I think through decisions, and what building really looks like day to day.
If that sounds boring to some people, that’s fine. For the people it resonates with, it usually clicks pretty quickly.
My Story (The Short, Real Version)
I didn’t start online because I had some big master plan.
I started because I wanted options — and I was tired of feeling like my life was stuck on someone else’s schedule.
In the beginning I did what most people do: I tried too many things, chased too many ideas, and got pulled in a hundred directions by whatever sounded good that week.
There were stretches where it felt like nothing was moving, even though I was putting in the work.
The biggest lesson I learned is that most people don’t fail because they aren’t capable.
They fail because they’re overwhelmed — and they’re trying to figure everything out alone.
Over time I stopped chasing shortcuts and started building around what actually holds up: consistency, clarity, and trust.
That’s why I’m big on building a steady foundation — not because it’s sexy, but because it works.
If you want the longer version of how I got here and what I’ve learned along the way, I share it in more detail on my My Story page.
A Moment That Changed My Perspective
The London trip had a purpose — I went to see Taylor Swift on the ERAS Tour at Wembley Stadium.
It was something I genuinely wanted to experience, and I didn’t want to keep putting life on hold for “someday.”
But the real impact wasn’t just the concert.
Being in a different place, walking a new city, and stepping away from the constant online noise created a kind of clarity that’s hard to get when you’re always in grind mode.
It reminded me that freedom isn’t just an income goal — it’s being able to live your life without your business consuming your attention every day.
That trip reinforced how I build now: calm progress, intentional choices, and systems that support real life.
Build something sustainable. Keep it honest. Keep it simple enough to maintain. And make sure the work is actually leading to a life you enjoy.
Life Outside Work
A lot of how I approach online business comes from how I live day to day.
I spend a lot of time biking, walking, and staying active. What started as a way to clear my head turned into a real fitness journey and a healthier lifestyle overall.
Long walks and bike rides are where I do some of my best thinking.
No notifications. No urgency. Just space to process ideas, make better decisions, and stay consistent without burning out.
Building something meaningful shouldn’t come at the cost of your health or peace of mind.
